Making The Most Of A Virtual Interview During Covid-19

As families and teams seek to hire on additional household staff during the COVID-19 pandemic, virtual interviewing has become commonplace and families are taking additional steps and precautions, such as a quarantine period, testing, and offering live-in accommodations, to ensure the safety of candidates during the interview process and beyond. It is important to foster honest, non-judgmental, and open conversations surrounding COVID-19.

On top of the discussions that already take place during interviewing, it is helpful for both parties to discuss their personal practices. This will allow candidates and families to make informed employment choices. We encourage families and candidates to have these conversations throughout the interview process and particularly when considering an in-person trial or an offer of employment.
