The main responsibility of a nanny is to provide engaged and safe childcare for one or more children within the same household (occasionally, multiple families will share a nanny between them which is called a ‘nanny share.’) Other duties and responsibilities can include anything that is directly related to the children, including planning and/or transporting children to activities, classes or social get-togethers, meal preparation and planning, tidying and cleaning of the children’s spaces, assistance with homework or online school, and specialized age-appropriate engagement and activities as requested by the family.
