What Is Maintenance?
Maintenance, formerly known as alimony, is monthly spousal support that you or your spouse may be awarded during and after your divorce proceedings. If spousal support is awarded after your divorce, it will be awarded for a certain number of years or for an undetermined number of years until either you or your spouse petition the court for modification or termination.
